A 2,285 acre island providing habitat for thousands of wintering waterfowl, including the tundra swan. The refuge holds the designation of Important Bird Areas by the Audubon Society. Over 240 bird species visit the refuge along with small mammals and many other wildlife species.
Boat ramps, fishing and 7 trails make this refuge a wonderland for all.

Rock Hall's Visitor Center is located in the Village Shops at Main St. and Rt. 20. Stop in for brochures and maps. We have a good many festivals so be sure to check out the town's website calendar as well.
